In need for answers: 2009

So i have been in loads of countries , been around observing , looking , watching , and most of all listening to every and each one around me ,,
In my experience in Salamanca , where i got to meet loads of nationalities and people of all sorts, then enhanced it by me being in las palmas and meeting more people. i discovered that almost all of them don't trust their government, almost all of them think that the government is stealing their money through taxes and extra fees they have to pay for what so ever reason. they think the people in charge in their government are manipulative and basically thieves. hmmmm gosh ,, isn’t that similar to what is being said in Egypt, Yes,,our government is one of these government that steals their people.. yes, our government is not doing that work it should be doing . but hey that is exactly what spanish people think of their government,and also the germans, and some swiss people too !! coincidence .. don’t think so.
YES , our government seems to be doing much less than the other ones in europe and the americas. but they didn’t lie to us, they told us “we will not pay for people whom are unemployed” “we will not pay for the elders much money, we will try to increase it in the future” they never promised us anything, yeah sometimes they promise to lower products prices . but that’s not a National game.. it is an international one ,, so don’t blame it only on our government.
but lets think practically , Egyptians rarely pay taxes. i don't mean the sales taxes . EVERYONE IN THE UNIVERSE PAYS THAT, but we don’t pay as much taxes as the europeans does for example when they find most their money is taken in fees and expenses that our obligatory and governmental , for their apartment , for their cars and insurance , for the amount of money they take in case of inheritance... ok lets see ,, here is the part you say ,, but they take things in return , look at their streets and how clean they are, look at how humane their public transportation is... hmmmmm .. guys ,, this is not only the government’s role .. this is also the people themselves are clean, they care for how they live, they care for the quality of life, they don’t just sit on their A-- and whine about it and say “we have to have that, and this, and we should get this and that”great they know they have rights in their countries , but lets never forget that they are also sure they have obligation towards their country..towards that place they live in.
from where i see it.. i think it is a problem of EDUCATION. if we were raised to have everything clean around us ,, to clean our mess , to be proactive in life.. to not always wait for a leader like Saad Zaghlool , or Mostafa Kamel ,, or even Haraket Kefaya!!
if we just STOP waiting for others to act on our behalf ,, and we would actually move and work on what we need ,, if we were raised in schools not to have fear from authorities ,, but yes to respect them . to not fear to ask for our rights and keep demanding them till we get them ,, if we were raised not to accept whatever is given but to work hard and demand to get what we deserve each one of us then i would say yes ,, i agree with you guys ,, the government is not doing it’s job. but do you really think it will do it’s jobs while we are all in our living rooms watching tv having a cup of tea ,, and whining ,, how come our streets are not presentable ( knowing that i just threw a cigarette in that street, maybe even left my garbage some where on the side) but still we dare to demand knowing we are not doing our OBLIGATIONS.
NO ONE EVER TRUSTS THEIR GOVERNMENT,, maybe the english do a little bit ,,
NO ONE BELIEVES THAT THEIR GOVERNMENT IS DOING ITS JOB, but hey ,, when europeans .. or americans , canadians say that; they have the right to nag about this, they are doing their roles in the society ,, socially and financially and yet still don’t get what they “believe” they deserve.
maybe after you read this paper, you would think i am stupid , maybe also a patriot to my country, but what i am saying is that fact that everyone doesn't want to listen to , there is no place where it is heaven, and you would feel safe and secure. there will be always this thing in whatever country that will bug you ad make you feel frustrated and helpless.
